Admitted as an Associate Member (AEIGCA) in 2000; upgraded to Member (MEIGCA) in 2002.
Born and educated in Canada (Diploma in Turfgrass 1980) David Krause emigrated to Europe in 1986. After five very intense years as on site representative of Robert Trent Jones Sr. at the Valderrama Golf Club (host of the 1997 Ryder Cup) David lived four years in France, and developed the Seve Ballesteros signature course at Pont Royal en Provence.
David Krause started his own design practice in Germany in 1993, and has since established a reputation in creating exciting, interesting golf courses that people like to play. Active throughout Europe he has successfully developed many new courses and renovated / restored numerous established layouts. His projects include 12 of the Top 50 golf courses in Germany. A keen golfer David Krause maintains a single digit handicap and speaks English, French, Spanish and German.
