Las Brisas - photo courtesy of GolfDesign.ptReal Club de Golf Las Brisas was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1968. The club’s constitution states that any modification on the golf course should be done by someone from the “professional family” of this great architect. As EIGCA member, Jorge Santana da Silva, worked as a junior architect at Robert Trent Jones International, he was invited by Per Gundtoft, a long-time member of Las Brisas, consultant in Valderrama and other projects with Don Jaime Ortiz-Patiño. For a while, Jorge also collaborated in Real Club Valderrama and other ongoing projects of RTJ.

Despite a redesign already having been done by Kyle Phillips in 2015, there were a couple of details the club still wanted to complete.

Golfdesign.pt has been working on a new driving range project, which includes the partial redesign of 9th hole – construction will be in 2024. This collaboration led to other modifications being proposed, including hole 14.

Las Brisas and Golfdesign.pt are in a consultancy program for the golf course.
