Harradine begins construction on Legends Golf Course

Designed by EIGCA Past President and Senior Member Peter Harradine, the golf course incorporates 5 to 6 tees on each hole, creating a wide variety of lengths and angles to be played at each hole, thus providing a diverse and unique experience on every 9-hole loop.

The layout is player friendly with reasonable hole lengths, wide fairways and wall to wall grassing, while still providing a challenge to better players due to the strategically placed bunkering and lakes throughout the course. The two par-3 holes are particular gems. The short par-3 second hole is an elevated tee shot over a beautiful lake to a green perched right on the water’s edge. The 8th hole is a mid-iron shot over or around a long diagonal bunker flanking the right side of the green to a beautifully contoured green within an amphitheatre setting.

The course will also sport one of the best driving ranges in the UAE thanks to its elevated tees, generous width and length and the lush surrounding landscape. The 9-holes, driving range and putting green will also be floodlit to offer night golf and extend the window to practice and play.

The construction team is preparing the course for seeding and sprigging and the course should be ready for play in the 4th quarter of 2016.
