What did you think of this year's Annual Meeting?

What delegates tell us about our events, especially the flagship Annual Meeting, provides valuable insight for future events so we provide an event that is what members, partners, patrons and industry guests want to attend.

From the responses received so far, we know:

– 100% felt the Annual Meeting was Excellent / Very Good
– 82% would prefer an all-inclusive package, if available
– 80% found the app excellent (the remaining 20% said it was very good or good)
– The top 5 most useful content on the app were: list of delegates / times of golf course shuttles / and joint third are list of EIGCA partners attending, tee times and people in each group, and dinner seating plans
– 75% thought the partner speed networking session was good / fair, which reflects our thoughts and we are already considering how to change this for 2024
– 94% say the optimum time for the partner speed networking session is the morning of the conference
– suggestions for future conference themes match our current thinking

Also, some of the answers when asked for the best and worst elements of the event made us smile:
– Best: it felt more like a holiday than a conference
– Worst: it was too short / saying goodbye to everyone / lack of sleep!

Plans have begun for the 2024 Annual Meeting – it will be the first held across two countries. Dates being looked at are end May / beginning June, when we will be heading to Denmark and Sweden. When we have confirmed dates with the golf courses, we will be in touch with members, partners, patrons, and industry guests so you can put a marker in your diary.

2025 is EIGCA’s 25th anniversary and we are planning something extra special. Ideas are being discussed for a celebratory Annual Meeting, fitting of this major occasion. Watch this space.
