Last month the Turfgrass® team travelled across Asia, visiting ongoing projects, exploring new opportunities and meeting partners on the ground. The trip began in Thailand then Japan, before moving on to Vietnam, where John Clarkin took part in the Vietnam Golf Course Owners Summit 2025 at Laguna Golf Lăng Cô, an event expertly organised by 54.

The summit brought together government leaders, investors and industry specialists to discuss the future of golf, leisure and tourism under Vietnam Golf Vision 2030. The drive and ambition in the room were clear and Turfgrass® was pleased to contribute to the discussions.

From Vietnam, the team continued onto South Korea and China, gaining first-hand insight into the scale of developments now underway. The Asian golf market continues to grow at pace, with new projects emerging each year and a strong focus on quality, sustainability and long-term performance.

With established work such as Plover Cove in Hong Kong (with Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design) and Hoiana Shores Golf Club in Vietnam (2020 World’s Best New Golf Course), Turfgrass® already has a strong foothold in the region and is well positioned to support the next wave of golf development across Asia.
