Turfgrass® and Padraig Harrington at the grassroots of growing interest in the game of golf

Developed to be publicly accessible, with a primary focus on opening the game of golf to people of all ages and backgrounds, making it a fun and entertaining experience for families and friends.

South Dublin will soon be able to boast a new 3,000 sq.m putting course designed by Padraig Harrington, inspired by the Himalayas Putting Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. The facility is being designed to have at least 18 holes that are interchangeable. Padraig has introduced different forms of greens within the putting course, including some famous ones such as Redan, Biarritz and the Punchbowl.

The project is being developed and built in a sustainable manner, using materials already available within the park. Agronomic specifications, development and construction began in recent months with the next step to begin grassing using cores from nearby Dun Laoghaire Golf Club with the intention to have an official opening in Spring of next year.
