Student Awards At Eigca

Top marks at the European Institute of Golf Course Architects? education programme at Edinburgh College of Art and Heriot-Watt University in last years Masters Course were achieved by Curtis Liesenfelt from USA, and Brian Phillips, an Englishman, practising in Norway.

Liesenfelt (right in the photo) wins the Toro Student Architect of the Year Award, and Phillips The Barenbrug prize.

Mike Wood, Course Director for the Masters programme and himself a graduate of EIGCA, added

“It was a very strong group again last year and these guys represent the cream of the crop. I?m sure they will all continue to develop their skills within the profession and would love to see them all, in time, become full Members.”

Currently 24 student members of EIGCA are studying at Edinburgh, on the full time Masters programme and the part time Diploma programme, and are actively involved in the Professional Development initiatives of the Institute.
