The judges said “The club set out to restore the 1932 course to its former self while continuing to develop sustainability. The club’s history shines throughout the restoration, which has created a unique and authentic experience for golfers.”
This recognition highlights the exceptional efforts made by the club, its maintenance crew, and the dedicated partners who contributed to the renovation project’s success.
Stockholms Golf Club, located in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden, has long been renowned for its rich history and remarkable designed by the famous Harry Colt and James Morrison, providing an outstanding golfing experience. The recent renovation project undertaken by the club has further elevated its reputation by transforming the golf course into a world-class facility.
“The Kevinge course is a living sporting cultural heritage for which we feel a responsibility”, said Bengt Franzon, chairman of Stockholms Golf Club. “The award for the renovation shows international appreciation for preserving and refining a unique Swedish golf course only a 15 minute journey from the center of Stockholm. Our members and guests get to play on a course renovated with modern means, where the restoration also means increased playing joy for all categories of players”.
The maintenance crew at Stockholms Golf Club, lead by course manager Andreas Wahlberg, demonstrated their unwavering dedication and expertise throughout the renovation process. Their meticulous attention to detail and tireless efforts played an instrumental role in achieving the exceptional results that ultimately led to this prestigious recognition.

Toro’s expertise in precision irrigation allowed for precise water distribution across the course, optimizing water usage and minimizing wastage.
