Since 1972, he has operated a freelance design office specializing in landscape and open space architecture across various European countries and the Middle East.
From 1988 onwards, he has focused on planning and supervising the construction of golf courses, completing numerous projects at different stages of planning across Europe and beyond, at least a dozen of which were in Germany.
Volker Püschel was an inaugural member of the “Golfclub Mettmann” in Germany. His philosophy in planning golf courses is grounded in his 30 years of practical landscape planning experience. His approach emphasizes adapting the golf course design to the unique landscape and ecological conditions of each site. He aims to integrate the golf course harmoniously into the existing landscape while considering both the sporting and economic aspects of golf course development.
