Jean-Claude Cornillot, born in Lille, earned a Diploma of Architecture after five years at the Post-Graduate School of Architecture.
He has been playing golf for 30 years with a handicap of seven. Since 1985, he has been a specialized architect recognized by the French Golf Federation, conducting feasibility studies for numerous golf courses.
From 1985 to 1988, Jean-Claude Cornillot partnered with Paul Rolin, a golf architect and former collaborator of Trent Jones, who completed many courses in Europe.
To date, Jean-Claude Cornillot has designed and overseen the construction of numerous well-known golf courses in France, including Arras Golf Course (host of the Women’s French Open) and Hardelot.
As an architect, he is skilled in designing master plans that incorporate housing estates, as seen in projects like Bussy St Georges and Hardelot.
