Mr Alexandre Ribeiro

Alexandre Ribeiro has collaborated with Architect Jorge Santana da Silva at GolfDesign.pt, in Palmela, Portugal, for three decades, building a solid and comprehensive career in golf course planning and development.

He joined the company in 1994, initially working and supporting the preparation of hand-coloured golf plans as well as hand-drawn design work, tasks that gave him valuable early exposure to the company’s processes and to the fundamentals of golf course design. Under the direct mentorship of Jorge Santana da Silva, Alexandre progressively deepened his technical knowledge and developed a strong passion for the discipline.

Over the years, he has contributed to more than two hundred projects, participating consistently across all stages of development—from conceptual layout and preliminary studies to licensing, construction documentation and on-site supervision. This continuity has given him a end-to-end understanding of golf course project execution.

Today, Alexandre is fully dedicated to the comprehensive development and coordination of golf projects, managing all phases of work and maintaining close communication with clients, consultants and project partners. He combines traditional drafting techniques with advanced computer-assisted design tools, ensuring precision, quality and adaptability to each project’s specific needs.

His extensive experience, technical proficiency and long-term exposure to diverse national and international projects have shaped him into a highly qualified professional with the capability to perform at the highest level within the golf design and development sector.
