Kimber Golf working with The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club to provide the club with an Evolution plan for the improvement of the Golf Course.

After their first season at the helm new owners, Alan Hardy, Leigh Dyson and Simon Robertson are seeking ways to enhance their investment and want to realise the full potential for the 36 hole property. The plan is to improve both ‘The Open’ and ‘The Masters’ courses over a 5 year period starting this winter. The initial focus will be on the Open course where Kimber Golf will work through a series of proposals targeted at improving the overall balance and flow of the golf course whilst enhancing the strategy and playability of individual holes in the process.

Paul Kimber said, “This is a golf club that, contrary to current trends, has enjoyed increased membership since the new owners have taken over and we are delighted to be working with a club who are determined to improve their facility for the benefit of their members. We spent a considerable amount of time examining the course and discussing the ambitions of the owners prior to presenting a series of proposals that are targeted at improving the strategic challenge of each hole for the better golfer whilst ensuring that the average player is offered options for improved playability.”

Work has already commenced on the first of 4 holes that will be improved over this winter and with a burgeoning membership a key criteria of the programme is to ensure that all changes are ready for play by the start of the 2012 season.
