Just a short hop south of Catania airport along the sandy beaches, Golf Le Saie – (par 72, 6500 m) – is the 8th island course and the 6th course opened in the last 4 years. A positive sign for an industry that looks “frozen” in Italy as in most of the world.
The Etna volcano stands out with its majesty and greatness as a backdrop of many shots. The course links style, offers an ample variety of shots and the flow of hole sequence is well balanced and interesting make it challenging and suitable for high level competitions.
The course is surrounded by wild naturalization areas where the Mediterranean vegetation grows lush and colorful through the seasons. Flamingos, seabirds and other migratory species are already settling in the area. A good example of recovering into a natural reserve for land devoted to intensive agriculture.
