EIGCA Silver Partner, Hunter, Announces New Pilot™ Cloud Features in Pilot Command Center Software

In the past year, the company has increased the power of its network programming by implementing all-new Pilot Cloud features in its Pilot Command Center Software.

The system now includes a cloud-based database and map backup feature, giving course managers peace of mind if the computer ever needs to be restored. A new web-based interface optimises the display when viewed in a browser, allowing users to see more of the Command Center on a single screen. The software also provides additional viewing options to simplify watering adjustments. Additionally, the cloud-based platform has enabled further integration with turfgrass technology solutions leader POGO®. Course managers can now access visual insights for soil data monitoring and weather station integration to help predict future turf conditions, allowing them to adjust their irrigation quickly and easily.

The Pilot Control Network, which includes Pilot Field Controllers along with its Command Center Software, has been installed on a number of prestigious golf courses around the world. Recently, Hunter Golf collaborated on a course renovation project with Christina Lundin of Henrik Stenson Golf Design to install Hunter irrigation at Österåkers Golfklubb in Åkersberga, Sweden. Hunter irrigation solutions were also used for a new construction project by Robert Trent Jones II for Sindalah Island Golf Course, a luxury facility located on an exclusive Saudi Arabian island in the Red Sea.

Hunter Golf has seen significant demand for its irrigation products domestically as well. In fact, the company’s largest Pilot System ever was installed last year at The Prairie Club. Located in the sandhills of Nebraska in the central United States, the expansive grounds feature two 18-hole courses, a 10-hole short course, and a 6.9-hectare practice facility. The project required a total of 76 Pilot Field Controllers to operate the golf resort’s irrigation system.

Each year, Hunter Golf continues to seek innovative ways to help greenskeepers handle the daily needs of their courses. The new cloud-based upgrades lay the foundation for the future of golf course irrigation control and create more possibilities for third-party sensor integrations and mobile-optimised remote control going forward.
