EIGCA President and Past President to Speak at EGCOA Conference

The EGCOA Conference, now into its 5th year, is fast becoming a major event for golfing industry players of all levels, and is a once-a-year opportunity to get up to speed with the latest business trends and developments in the European and worldwide golf arena.
“’Back to the Future’ is the central theme of this year’s conference”, explains EGCOA Director, Lodewijk Klootwijk. “The last two years have been tough ones for many people, and the golf industry has been no exception. The goal of this year’s conference is to draw on our accumulated know-how and to investigate new ways in which we can get the most out of each and every business opportunity, increase player numbers and secure the future of golf.”
The conference will include presentations, insights and recommendations from key industry figures and representatives from the US and Europe’s national golf course owners’ associations on a wide range of topics, from best practices, revenue management, human capital, course maintenance, and marketing and internet strategy.
As well as David and Peter, other speakers include:
- James Cronk – a business leader with over 20 years’ experience in the golf industry. James will be speaking on “Growing the Game: Best Practices” & “Revenue Management: Keys to Consistency in the Golf Business”.
- Nick Moran – Sales & Marketing Director, Crown Golf: Nick will be speaking about award-winning golf operator Crown Golf’s initiative, ‘Discover Golf’.
- Mike Hughes – CEO – National Golf Course Owners Association USA: Mike will be presenting the NGCOA’s Grow the Game initiative, “Bring your Daughter to the Golf Course”.
- Kelli Jerome – Director of Marketing & Business Development, Golf Environment Organization: Kelli will be speaking on “Growing the Game: The Business of Building a Sustainable Golf Course Model”.
- Helen Bennett – an experienced trainer, consultant and speaker with 18 years experience in customer care, with some world-class clients, primarily in hospitality, leisure and facilities management.
