Caspar Grauballe, EIGCA President, presents Julia Green, with the Outstanding Contribution award
This award recognises an individual or company within the EIGCA community for their significant contribution to furthering the work of the Institute and golf course design profession.

Caspar Grauballe, EIGCA’s President, says: “The decision to present the inaugural award to Julia was a unanimous decision by the EIGCA Council, and we could think of no one more worthy than Julia. In the 22 years Julia was Executive Officer, she steered EIGCA from the formation of the Institute in July 2000 until her retirement in June 2022. Julia’s dedication and commitment for more than two decades made her the genuine backbone of the Institute. She has truly made an Outstanding Contribution to us all.

“I was extremely proud to present Julia with this well-deserved award.”

EIGCA has the Harry Colt Award, which has been presented six times since 2010 to recognise exemplary service to the development of golf or promotion of the game of golf and its development. As the Harry Colt Award is for an organisation or individual external to the Institute, the EIGCA Council felt it important that significant contributions made by an individual or organisation within the EIGCA community were also honoured. The Outstanding Contribution Award was born.
