As with recent annual meetings, the event will include not only the AGM itself but also a one-day conference (scheduled for Saturday 12th) and round table discussions. Undoubtedly one of the highlights will be the President’s Cup and Sponsors’ Tournament, to be held over two days on both the Red and Green Courses at PGA Golf Catalunya. The President’s Dinner and the Sponsors’ Dinner will also be held on separate evenings during the week. In addition to the official dinners there will also be a typical Catalan banquet at a local restaurant.
As part of a whole week of activities a Golf Study Tour will be included, giving members the opportunity to play two or three high quality courses elsewhere in the Costa Brava. Spouses and partners of members and delegates will be able to take advantage of organised sightseeing and shopping tours as well as making use of the excellent and extensive spa facilities at the hotel.
Commenting on the announcement of the venue for the 2008 AGM, EIGCA President Ken Moodie said, “One of the great strengths of the EIGCA is our ability to come together as a group of friends, although most of us are competitors on a business level. It is wonderful to share experiences with colleagues from all over Europe and to meet and renew acquaintances with other members of the golf industry”
