This combined resource added 600 books to EIGCA’s stock and now contains over 2,400 publications on a range of architecture-related topics, plus turf management, ecology, irrigation, architecture, self-help and dissertations. This new library is open to members of both Institutes and BIGGA has produced a step-by-step guide explaining how you access the new library – click on the pdf to download a copy.
The first time you log in you will need to create an account and request a new password, after which you will have access to the BIGGA website from which you can view the publications available to borrow.
With the move of the EIGCA library to BIGGA’s HQ, EIGCA staff have now switched to virtual working as the need for a physical office no longer existed. Enhanced technology solutions have been installed to aid communications and facilitate committee meetings.
For your records, EIGCA’s new registered office address is: Suite I, Windrush Court, Abingdon Business Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 1SY. Although this is also our postal address, we are now operating a paperless office so prefer to receive mail digitally if at all possible. The phone number remains the same (+44 1483 891831) as do staff’s eigca.org email addresses.
The contact for the merged library is Deb Burnett who can be contacted at deb@bigga.co.uk
