Following a very successful World Forum of Golf Architects last year, organised in association with ASGCA and SAGCA, the EUROPEAN INSTITUTE OF GOLF COURSE ARCHITECTS is pleased to announce that its 11TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CONFERENCE will be held in POTSDAM, NEAR BERLIN, from 4TH to 7TH MAY 2011.
The meetings and seminars will take place in the 4-Star conference hotel, NH VOLTAIRE, Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse 88, 14467 Potsdam and the President’s Dinner will be held at the historic Krongut Bornstedt (the Crown Estate of Bornstedt).
The event will also include golf on two of the best courses in the area
- Berliner Golf Club Gatow, and
- Seddiner See Golf and Country Club, North Course
Potsdam was selected as this year’s venue because it is a beautiful city that is also easily accessible. Berlin’s Schoenefeld and Tegel Airports are within easy reach and are serviced by many budget airlines including Ryanair, Air Berlin, Germanwings, Easyjet, Norwegian, Brussels, etc.
The theme of this year’s conference is sustainable golf course development.
