With a 15+ year track record on a global basis, the company has created a wide portfolio for the demands of the marketplace.
To better service the market and re-thinking the approach, we have developed a 4-unit structure to apply correct synthetic turf systems towards our clientele:
+Golf Courses
+Entertainment Venues
+Practice Academies
+Boutique golf concepts for exclusive resorts or homes
Southwest Greens portfolio includes solutions for Tees & Teelines, Fairway, Rough and Bunker applications as well as several products for putting surfaces ranging from small surfaces in an indoor setting to replacing greens on existing courses. The latter requires a comparative approach, considering the vast environmental and maintenance benefits versus natural turf, without compromising the golfer´s experience. Many have and will continue to take a “seeing is believing approach” as to whether our product can achieve these objectives.
A great example is the current status of the GOLF UP facility close to Grimaud & Saint Tropez (designed by EIGCA member Jean-Claude Cornillot) that opened in 2016 with approx. 40.000m2 synthetic turf systems, consisting of a full synthetic driving range and a 9-hole synthetic short course. Four years on, the facility enjoys great success and a loyal following. Since the opening we have received a lot of feedback on the installed turf systems and SWG Construction, along with our USA-based R&D department, have been using that experience to improve further on the quality and longevity of our systems up to 15 years, so that investing in synthetic turf systems is no longer “a wild guess”.
Recently SWG Construction completed the first driving range “Synthetic Fairway” project at San Roque golf course in Sotogrande, Spain, with fellow EIGCA Partner Turfgrass, and Atlantic Golf Course Construction. The project blends perfectly in the upgrade of the San Roque old course and will allow the course to have a practice range that is green 365 days per year, with a great design featuring performance systems for fairway, target greens and bunkers, whilst eliminating major maintenance.
With the larger projects come larger investments. That makes the decision for golf course committees & investors more difficult or risky. Southwest Greens Construction responds to that in 2 ways.
+A dedicated Global Sales President (Mr. Kevin Holinaty) to better service the clients on synthetic solutions with the focus on environmentally sustainable solutions. The SWG sales organization on “local levels” in Scandinavia, France and the UK have been strengthened with new people to allow for this improved market approach.
+The objective is to inform & educate on a transparent level to architects & industry consultants what our engineered product systems can and cannot do and how the client will benefit from these synthetic solutions. This will allow clients to make a better judgement on the solutions in the marketplace.
+A real warranty, on the performance of the system, that protects the client´s investment and backs up the system installed.
In the next period to come SWG Construction will reach out to EIGCA members with a complete information pack and will host a EIGCA virtual seminar, discussing our approach and how we see the future of synthetic turf systems and golf unfolding.
