Semillas Fito – results for Bermuda Riviera
Semillas Fito is proud to announce the excellent results obtained in the conversion made of Golf Tolcinasco in Milano(Italy) from cool season grasses to Bermuda Riviera.

Golf Tolcinasco is in the North of Italy proving that the variety can be used successfully in the heart of Europe when the purposes are input savings, keeping the best playability and quality.
Riviera is the most important Bermuda grass seeded variety used in Golf courses along the Mediterranean.
Semillas Fito also announces the release of 2015 Turfgrass Catalogue with new varieties such a Festuca arundinacea variety Golden Gate and Lolium perenne variety Rinovo.

AHA de Man in partnership with The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews
AHA de Man has started a partnership with the Greenkeeping Team of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.
The purpose of this partnership is the exchange of knowledge between AHA de Man and St. Andrews. As a first step, Remy de Milde (Head Greenkeeper at De Hooge Rotterdamsche Golf Course) and Milan den Dikken (Bentwoud Golf Course) went to Scotland at the beginning of October to work for a month with the greenkeeping team at The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. For the first three weeks, Remy and Milan worked mainly on the Old Course and New Course under the guidance of Gordon Moir (‘Director of Greenkeeping’), but also worked at times on the Jubilee Course. During the last week, they worked together on the Castle Course.
This work placement month forms part of an exchange programme that was recently started between St. Andrews and AHA de Man. Next year will be the turn of several greenkeepers from Scotland to come and work on a course that AHA de Man maintains. Their experience will be to keep an 18-hole course in top condition with a small and compact team, something which Gordon Moir describes as a very instructive opportunity.

Profile Products supplies Flexterra HP-FGM to Fureso GolfKlub in Denmark

The Fureso GolfKlub in Denmark is seeing plenty signs of life – at least on two-thirds of the course. The second phase of a three-phase renovation was recently grassed, thanks in part to Flexterra HP-FGM from Profile Products.
Design firm MacKenzie Ebert selected Flexterra HP-FGM, a high-performing hydraulic mulch, for the project due to its proven success in establishing vegetation and preventing erosion on severe slopes. The Fureso GolfKlub features a number of environmentally-sensitive areas, including several water features, all of which had to be protected from soil erosion and sediment loss.
The project, which began in 2013, will be completed in 2015 ahead of the course re-opening.
The hydraulic seeding was done by Contractor John Greasely Ltd over five hectares on the course, with Flexterra used at a rate of up to a rate of 340g per m2 on the critical areas. Photos show the successful grow-in just 32 days after application.
