In October, Aroeira Golf Club, a highly regarded golfing destination near Lisbon, was rebranded as PGA National Portugal. This landmark move establishes it as the only PGA National in Portugal, placing it alongside some of the most iconic PGA Branded Property venues, including Ryder Cup hosts such as Gleneagles in Scotland and The Belfry in England.

As part of this new partnership with The PGA, Aroeira’s two 18-hole championship courses have been renamed to reflect their elevated status. The Aroeira Pines Classic course will now be known as PGA Aroeira 1, while the Aroeira Challenge course becomes PGA Aroeira 2.

Located just 25km from Lisbon, PGA National Portugal offers world-class golf in a breathtaking natural setting. With a proud history of hosting high-profile tournaments such as the Portuguese Open, the venue is set to further enhance its reputation as a premier destination for golfers of all abilities. The addition of this venue to The PGA’s Branded Properties network reaffirms The PGA’s commitment to offering its Members and partners access to outstanding golfing experiences around the world.
