After negotiations with the venues and golf courses, the 2020 Annual Meeting will now take place from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 October. We will remain in Cardiff, Wales and attendees will still be able to compete for the President’s Cup at the top golf courses in the area: Royal Porthcawl and Pyle and Kenfig. The theme will continue to be ‘Golf for all – with a spotlight on Women’s Golf’.
Our annual gathering of members, partners and patrons – and the opportunity to play on two top golf courses – is highly anticipated. To have arranged a date earlier than mid-October may mean the pandemic has not yet abated, and a later date would have taken us into winter-time and shortened daylight hours.
The EIGCA Council is aware that the new dates may clash with professional or other commitments for some who wish to attend. We appreciate that there is a risk of overlap with other meetings in the golf calendar that have been (or will be) postponed and re-scheduled for this time. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided and we apologise for any inconvenience these new dates have / will cause.
Further details will be sent to those who had registered for the original April dates.
May we meet again in good health.
