An update on Tim Lobb’s projects at Soma Bay, Egypt

EIGCA Member and Immediate Past President, Tim Lobb, of Lobb + Partners, continues working at Soma Bay, Egypt with construction underway on a new 18-hole course. The first 6 holes are grassed with Pure Dynasty by EIGCA Silver Partner, Atlas Turf, with irrigation by EIGCA Gold Partner, Toro.

This new 18-hole course is on the central peninsula with holes 13, 14 and 15 playing towards the Red Sea.

This new-build continues on from the collaboration between Tim and fellow EIGCA Member, James Edwards, on the Soma Bay floodlit Academy. This facility includes a double-ended driving range, short game with a 5,000 square meter greens area, and a par-3 9-hole course.
