EIGCA News

Last month the EIGCA President and Vice President went to St Andrews to present Bernhard Langer with the Harry Colt Award for his outstanding contribution to European golf.

We also have an 'Update from the EIGCA President' with some important dates for your diary. Ross provides some information on next year's Annual Meeting which is taking place in Paris as well as the autumn CPD Seminar at the end of November.

Members News

Our members have been busy lately. A Past President is undertaking a renovation in Switzerland, another member has been redesigning Caddington Golf Course and Wetherby Golf Club. Top independent school Stowe has appointed a member to design a new golf course for them and a club in Saudi Arabia designed by an EIGCA member has won three 'Best Leisure Development' awards.

Our Gold Partner Toro has assisted Le Golf National Trust with Irrigation in preparation for 2018 Ryder Cup.

Silver Partner John Deere just signed a deal with Real Club de Golf Las Brisas (which was of course one of the venues for the President's Cup in 2017) and Ransomes Jacobsen, also Silver Partners, explain what GPS can offer golf clubs.

We also have news from our Bronze Partners CMF Global, EcoBunker and Capillary Concrete.

Resource Centre News

The EIGCA Library has over 1500 books and journals, most of which are available to borrow.

We have recently added two articles to the EIGCA website by Ken Moodie on Golf and New Housing Developments and Glen Abbey as well as Matt Ward's Behind the Architectural Curtain piece on the Open at Carnoustie.

You can also catch up with some articles you may have missed in the golfing press.
