The EIGCA Council has considered ways of future-proofing the Institute’s membership structure to ensure it satisfies the demands and composition of the golf course design profession of the future.

We are also pleased to announce that the EIGCA has again been shortlisted for awards in the UK's leading PR awards of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) annual PRide Awards.

Members News

Two of our members have been busy lately restoring bunkers – one on the historical links at West Kilbride, the other at Herbert Fowler’s Red Course at The Berkshire. One is working on a new course in Georgia, while another is rejuvenating the course at Adare Manor in Ireland, and a third has seen a brand new course opening in Hampshire.

The Golf Environment Organization (GEO) has published a new edition of the International Sustainable Golf Development Guidelines and the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) has announced a new Director of Education.

From our Gold Partner Rain Bird we have an account of the irrigation system installed at The London Golf Club. Our Silver Partner Ransomes Jacobsen has won the RoSPA Gold Medal Award.

We have received the latest edition of Golf Architecture– the journal of the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects and we have acquired a new biography of Donald Ross, the architect who had so much influence on American golf courses. You can also catch up with Some Articles you may have missed in the golfing press.

The EIGCA Library has over 1500 books and journals, most of which are available to borrow. The Librarian can help you with any research you may need using materials in the collection or by online searching.
