Indeed, from launching the company in difficult times post-recession 2010, Profusion has installed Blinder in over 2,000 bunkers covering an area in excess of 150,000 square metres. During that time the company have become known as the bunker people and has expanded it’s scope, not only installing the lining, but to carrying out the entire contract, forming a reputation for creative shaping and a high quality of finish. Today, the company carry’s out projects exclusively within golf courses of all sizes including full 18 hole renovations, constructions and everything related.
Working with EIGCA Vice President Tim Lobb Profusion recently completed the renovation of 18 holes at The Springs Golf Club on the banks of the river Thames in Oxfordshire. Owned by Darwin Escapes, The Springs became their second course acquisition and have recently completed the purchase of the prestigious Dundonald Links in Scotland.
The multi million pound improvement of The Springs included the construction of new golf holes, tees, renovation of bunkers throughout, including the installation of Blinder Bunker Liner of course and the renovation of the lakes including timber edging details. A separate short game academy was also constructed. Earthworks plans required special care by Tim as some of the works were carried out within the flood plain of the river Thames.
