EIGCA lends its support to the “Proposal for Regulation in relation to the sustainable use of pesticides”

EIGCA was invited to lend its support – as a representative body of the European Golf Sector - to the EU consultation on pesticides regulation for sports grounds and urban spaces across Europe.

In agreeing that EIGCA supported the proposal, David Bily, Chair of EIGCA’s Sustainability Committee, says: “The EIGCA strongly believes in reducing environmental impacts in all areas of golf development and maintenance, including the use of plant protection products. We believe that this pan-European proposal will succeed in securing environmental and human safety while keeping the golf sport alive for future generations.”
