Golf and Climate Change – a driving net zero event in Iceland

Our 2022 Annual Meeting is nearly here, with just a few weeks until over 100 members, partners, affiliates and guests come together to discuss and learn about golf and climate change.

EIGCA is taking the lead in putting climate action on the world agenda for golf development. This Conference is focusing on how golf can have a positive impact on climate change with a programme which explores the main aspects of climate change, its relationship with golf and the role of golf development and design.

A Climate Pledge has been drafted and the Conference will close with it being signed by the Presidents of EIGCA, ASGCA and SAGCA as a symbol of each organisation’s continued commitment after the event.

To reinforce EIGCA’s commitment to driving net zero, along with GEO, the conference emissions are being calculated and will be offset according to The Gold Standard. The offsetting is being financed by a joint sponsorship between EIGCA and our Gold Partners, Rain Bird and Toro.
