A message for the New Year from EIGCA President, Tim Lobb MEIGCA

As Christmas draws near, the team at EIGCA sends you our warmest wishes for the holiday season. No matter how you plan to spend your time, we hope you have a safe and restful break. Our President, Tim Lobb MEIGCA, has recorded a short video looking ahead to 2022 and we all look forward to what the new year brings for us to continue our work to further the golf course design profession. Please note: our office is closed from 17th December and will re-open on 4th January 2022.

Good morning. Good afternoon. Good evening.

I'm very pleased to have this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to 2022 with great excitement.

This year identified that golf is back on people's minds and as golf course architects we have the power to design facilities that are going to be engaging and popular, and help grow our game like never before.

Looking to the future, we're really excited to have our annual meeting next year in Iceland, where we're going to focus on sustainability and how golf can have a positive impact to help with climate change.

This year, we've worked hard on, and are going to take it forward, collaboration as a tool to send our message further out into the world. We're working with the American Society of Golf Course Architects and the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects to strengthen our message and to keep on about the power of design and how we can make a change.

I look forward to seeing you in 2022 and wish you all the best.
