Alan Rijks MEIGCA renovates Domburgsche Golf Club

At the Domburgsche Golf Club work is underway on the renovation of holes 5 and 6.

The links course Domburgsche Golfclub in Holland asked golfcourse architect Alan Rijks (EIGCA) to help them with making the two holes better playable for the golfer and the safety of the people walking, biking and driving past the golfcourse. We decided to make a new dune along the road and bringing in the fairway into the golfcourse.

Golfplayers don’t see any traffic anymore and the safety boundary is now much bigger. We have used 9.500 m3 and build everything in 4 weeks. Seeded with red fescue and planted with marram grasses.
