Golf Camprodón is located at Camprodon town, in the Catalan Pyrenees. A group of members from the local tennis club wished to create a small golf course in the area to improve the sports facilities and contribute to enhance the tourist facilities supplies for this nice area about 120 km from Barcelona.
The high mountains surrounding the area and the rainy weather gave us a nice background and conditions to work with. Being a main issue by the developers to keep costs as low as possible we designed a 9 hole, 2.600 meter length, par 35 course, in a 21 hectare land, with a minimum earthwork.
Almost all trees were kept untouched and layout was adjusted in order to enhance the natural features of the site; creeks, woods, grassy areas and views.
Greens were made simple, with soft shapes, in order to have a maximum area for pin placements in the medium/small size greens we designed.
