Urubó Golf

Picture of Urubó Golf

This is the first creation of Stirling & Martin Golf Architecture in South America. Urubo Golf was with no doubt, the highest challenge, for the golf architects to integrate a golf course in the middle of a highly valued environmental setting. Stirling & Martin had maximum respect for the existing landscape and topography. Located in the middle of the rain forest, the holes are surrounded by 45 metre tall trees, showing the colours and sounds of animals that you only find in the deep Amazon.

The owners environmental sensibility, plus the slow process in designing and construction has created a real gem. There was excellent collaboration with all affiliated professions to get a natural and beautiful, international recognised golf course. The 7,222 yards, Par 72, is a true, first class tournament golf course.
