Statement of Environmental Policy

Why we drew it up

Craigielaw - Mackenzie

Two major driving forces were behind our need for an environmental policy; the fundamental reality of environmental change, and the ever-expanding framework of environmental legislation which has accompanied it.
The main purposes of the document are to define the scope of our profession’s unique relationship with the environment, to highlight the positive contribution golf courses can make to the environment and society, to emphasise our recognition of the importance of environmental sustainability within golf course development, and to state our commitment to working in partnership with other relevant industry bodies.
